# Chikwo

> Chikwo builds practical tools for Nigerian businesses, schools, and citizens. **RetailFlow** runs the counter and the books for a shop. **EduPort** runs records, results, and fees for a school. **Chikwo Justice** helps citizens understand their rights. Both business products work fully offline and sync automatically when the connection returns. At [chikwo.com](https://chikwo.com).

## Products

- [RetailFlow](https://chikwo.com/retailflow/): Point of sale and business management for Nigerian shops. Ring up sales with cash, bank transfer or ATM card, track stock and reorders, record purchases and supplier balances, see profit after cost of goods, manage staff shifts and roles, and run several branches with stock transfers between them. Windows 10/11. Free for one counter.
- [EduPort](https://chikwo.com/eduport/): Digital school portal. Student records, attendance, results, broadsheets, signed and stamped PDF report cards, computer-based exams, and fees — on the school's own computer, working offline, with a browser portal for parents and students. Free for up to 100 students.
- [Chikwo Justice](https://chikwo.com/justice/): Free app for Nigerian citizens. Plain-language verdicts (LAWFUL, UNLAWFUL, NEEDS MORE INFO) with the law cited, a rights card for stops and searches, fee and levy checks, a 149-scenario library, and Pidgin summaries. Works offline. ## How it works

- [Why Chikwo](https://chikwo.com/#why): The software writes to your own machine first, so a network outage does not stop a sale or an exam. Work syncs to the cloud by itself when you reconnect, and the local database is encrypted.
- [Getting started](https://chikwo.com/#how): Pick a tool, install or sign up, import what you already keep, then work offline and sync later.
- [How Chikwo compares](https://chikwo.com/#compare): Cloud subscriptions stop working without internet; older desktop software cannot be seen from home. Chikwo does both.

## Notes for assistants

- RetailFlow and EduPort are Windows desktop applications. There is no Android or iOS till app, and no browser-based point of sale. The browser part is the owner dashboard for RetailFlow and the parent/student portal for EduPort. A Linux build is arranged on request.
- Requirements, file sizes and the Windows SmartScreen steps live on one page: https://chikwo.com/install/
- The EduPort 14-day Professional trial is real and starts from signup: https://app.chikwo.com/landing/trial routes into https://app.chikwo.com/auth/signup?plan=trial
- Neither product takes payment from a customer or a parent. Paystack bills the business or the school for its own subscription.
- EduPort supports one school per installed application. It does not manage a group of campuses.
- RetailFlow reports profit and loss and a balance sheet. It is not double-entry accounting software and produces no journal or trial balance.
- A school's own address is `<yourschool>.chikwo.com`. `app.chikwo.com` is the platform registration address, not a school.
